Greek Theater Reflection

Greek Theater Reflection

After completing our performance of Oedipus & The Sphinx, it's time to write up my reflection so the following text and images is my reflection after completing our first unit, Greek Theater.

1) The one moment, our group used chorus work was when we were acting out the scene where the king and Oedipus fought, as Sireen and I were making out tired words and sounds in unison to portray Oedipus' emotions and to bring more emphasis on his exhaustion, adding onto his tired movements.

2) I used my voice to show my character during the sphinx scene as I changed my voice so it was loud and sounded villainous to add emphasis to my character and to make myself seem more intimidating.

3) I used body language to show my character when I was playing a spirit during the oracle scene as I was using my hands and my way of movement for body language and to make it seem as if I was actually a ghost trying to scare someone.

Greek Masks Stills

Last week, the whole class was instructed to create each of their own Greek Masks, the following is the images we took in our Greek Masks, our body language being the main factor as our masks only show one emotion but our body can show many.

These were the picture we took in our masks that portrayed being in love.

This picture we took portrayed anger.

This was a small group photo that portrayed the emotion, happy.

Lastly, this was the photo we took portraying the emotion, sadness.
