Greek Theater Reflection
After completing our performance of Oedipus & The Sphinx, it's time to write up my reflection so the following text and images is my reflection after completing our first unit, Greek Theater.
1) The one moment, our group used chorus work was when we were acting out the scene where the king and Oedipus fought, as Sireen and I were making out tired words and sounds in unison to portray Oedipus' emotions and to bring more emphasis on his exhaustion, adding onto his tired movements.
2) I used my voice to show my character during the sphinx scene as I changed my voice so it was loud and sounded villainous to add emphasis to my character and to make myself seem more intimidating.
3) I used body language to show my character when I was playing a spirit during the oracle scene as I was using my hands and my way of movement for body language and to make it seem as if I was actually a ghost trying to scare someone.
Your photos look great and really show us how your group created this performance together. Well done.
ReplyDeleteYour reflection is quite basic and should be developed a lot further for a higher grade. You have talked about what your group did in the chorus example, but not what you actually said or how you said the lines; you need to include more detail here. Similarly with the answer about how you used your voice you have mentioned the volume and tone which is good, but not what you actually said. Your last answer is about body language but you have not actually said what you did; what exactly did you do with your body, gestures and facial expressions? 4/8 Criterion D
